‘Pratham Sopan’ Scout & Guide Training Camp Inaugurated at G.A.V. Public School

Saran (Bihar): A five-day ‘Pratham Sopan’ training camp organized under the aegis of Bharat Scouts and Guides, Saran, was formally inaugurated at the campus of G.A.V. Public School, located in Chhapra city. The camp is being conducted in accordance with the directive issued by the District Programme Officer (Samagra Shiksha), with the objective of instilling discipline, service, and self-reliance among students.

While inaugurating the camp, School Principal Dr. Janardan Singh stated that scouting education plays a vital role in shaping students into responsible and disciplined citizens. Motivating the participants, he emphasized that alongside academic knowledge, such practical training equips students with the courage and skills needed to face life’s challenges.

The training camp is being conducted under the supervision of District Trainer Pranav Singh, Nodal Teacher Sohan Tiwari, and Nodal Teacher Khushboo Singh.

During the first phase of the camp, Scouts and Guides were given detailed information about organizational rules, the Scout promise, prayer, and flag etiquette. Through the patrol system (team method), students were also taught the importance of teamwork and collective responsibility.

Considerable enthusiasm was observed among the students throughout the training session. The nodal teachers informed that over the next two days, trainees will be taught essential life skills such as knot-tying, first aid, tent pitching, self-defense techniques, and cooking without utensils.

Several teachers and staff members of the school were present on the occasion, encouraging and supporting the students.
